The present FAQ (Frequent Asked Questions) page is designed to clarify queries of our visitors. Questions asked are mostly referring to means of support/help FMN activity and projects, information for volunteers and donors/sponsors, and providing the answers to the most frequently asked questions about FMN activities and services.

Question: How can a person become a FMN volunteer? What requirements must be met for being selected and accepted as volunteer? Answer: A complete set of requirements will be forwarded to you as soon as you will contact us and express your wish to become a volunteer with FMN .

Question: What is the minimum / maximum period for volunteer activity at FMN Romania?
Answer: The minimum period is 2 weeks, and can go up to maximum 4 up to 6 weeks. During this time the volunteer will receive room and board at FMN family home in Focsani, unless the volunteer has made his/her own private arrangements for accommodation while working as volunteer with FMN Romania.

Question: What activities are expected from a volunteer while at FMN Romania?
Answer: The program routine of the house requires constant care and affectivity towards the children. Activities range from helping the children with basic physiological necessities and personal hygiene, dressing up, feeding, group therapy, individualised therapy, outings, play, kyneto-therapy, changing and washing their clothing, teaching them basics such as: walking in a public area, crossing the street, how to behave in public places-shops-church, how to draw, write, basic addition and deduction. According to each volunteer's skills, one might contribute effectively to a wide range of daily routine activities at FMN.

Question: If one is willing and prepared to provide financial and/or material support to FMN projects, how this might be achieved?
Answer: Fmn UK and FMN Romania are welcoming any form of financial and/or material support, especially when referring to funds and/or equipment that are to be used for the therapy and recovery of our children, or for covering the ever increasing administrative and running costs of the family home. Question: I am able to provide material support such as: clothing, shoes, toys, and education materials. How do I make these reach the children in FMN home, Romania?
Answer: For any form of financial, material, medical donations and/or sponsorships, as well as for the shipment of the goods from abroad into Romania, please contact Mr. Simon Long by e-mail, who will provide you with all necessary details and make the arrangements for the safe delivery of the goods to FMN home in Focsani (Romania).

Question: How can I be sure that the financial/material support I provide reaches the children living at FMN Romania?
Answer: ‘Fmn UK' and ‘FMN Romania' have a transparent policy in any aspects related to the charity activities and projects. We are happy to provide to our supporters images, documents and proof on the way their financial and/or material support has been used by FMN Romania.
